Ion disables the targeted unit, preventing it from moving or attacking.

TacticsEdit

Ion Bolt brings the target to an immediate stop. Although the stun doesn't last very long, the target will take some time to accelerate back to full speed. If you manually time each use of Ion Bolt, you can bring the enemy to a halt just as its full acceleration begins to kick in. To counter-act Ion Bolt, keep your capital ships out of range of the Akkan. The Akkan is a slower capital ship, so it's easier to keep away from and chase down with your own combat units.

DevelopmentEdit

In Patch 1.02, Ion Bolt's antimatter cost was increased from 65 to 85. Its cooldown was increased from 9/11/13 seconds per level to 10/12/14 seconds per level.
