Repair Platforms can repair ships and structures near them. They must be researched before they can be built. TEC have a unique research that doubles the effect of their repair platforms.

A Repair platform can also heal allied units
Repair platforms are great for line defenses of Gauss cannons, able to repair them while they take damage from fighting.
If on the defensive at a planet with a Repair platform, a capital ship or starbase of yours can be made virtualy indestrucable as long as antimatter lasts.
